APPENDIX Genetic and Physical Maps of Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Robert K. Mortimer, C. Rebecca Contopoulou, Jeff S. King

Abstract

This draft of Edition 11 of the genetic maps of the chromosomes of Saccharomyces cerevisiae is based on the data presented in Genetic Map of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Edition 10 (Mortimer et al., Yeast 5: 321 [1989]). Chromosomes II, XI, and XVI have undergone significant revision since the tenth edition of the map. The incorporation of the physical mapping data for most of the chromosomes into the map is under revision and thus is not included in this version of the map. New genes and new information are shown in boldface type throughout the map and tables. This draft represents work in progress toward Edition 11, and as such does not present the new mapping data that has been incorporated into the drawings and tables. Only references since Edition 10 are provided. Although efforts to assure accuracy have been made, this map has not undergone the scrutiny of a final edition. Genetic maps are composed of solid vertical lines (representing map distances determined by tetrad analysis) or dashed lines (indicating linkages established by mitotic recombination analysis), with centromeres represented as circles and with the left arm above and the right arm below the centromere. Short horizontal lines indicate the genetic position of a gene on a chromosome. In crowded regions, gene names are frequently not lined up with their corresponding horizontal lines. Vertical bars indicate a region within which a gene maps. Synonyms (alleles) are separated by commas.

Genes listed below the chromosome have been assigned to that chromosome but not...
